Law of Accumulation…Amma’s Message
Little Things Mean A Lot
One of the greatest success principles of all is called the Law of Accumulation. This law says that everything great and worthwhile in human life is an accumulation of hundreds and sometimes thousands of tiny efforts and sacrifices that nobody ever sees or appreciates.
when we were kids, we said that this is the ‘God is seeing you’ time.It says that everything accumulates over time. That you have to put in many, many, many tiny efforts that nobody sees or appreciates before you achieve anything worthwhile. This is hard…and nothing seems easy-come. And i want that delayed gratification feeling. It’s like a snowball. A snowball starts very small, but it grows as it adds millions and millions of tiny snowflakes and continues to grow as it gathers momentum.
Learn What You Need To Learn
There are three areas where the law of accumulation is important. The first is in the area of knowledge. Your body of knowledge is a result of hundreds, perhaps thousands, of small pieces of information. So the part about reading is essential and i have begun a long journey by picking up ‘The Tycoons’, Gabriel Marques GarciaAny person with a large knowledge base has spent thousands of hours building that knowledge base one piece at a time. So the little i do today counts for tomorrow, and the best i give it now changes a lot. Hmmm.
And what you see when you meet the individual is an expert in his or her field, with that high level of knowledge that makes him very valuable in the marketplace.
Your destiny is not determined by your birthrightSave Your Money
The second area where the Law of accumulation works is with regard to money. Every large fortune is an accumulation of hundreds and thousands of small amounts of money, and the place to start is to take any amount of money that you can right now and begin to save it. When you begin to save money, it sets up a force field of energy and it triggers the law of attraction. As a result you begin to attract to you even more bits of money to add to your savings.Get The Experience You Need
The third area where the law of accumulation applies is in the area of experience. You’ll find that successful people in any field are those who have far more experience in that field than the average. And there is nothing that replaces experience. Whether it’s in business or entrepreneurship or management or parenting or selling or anything else. Many people do not take the risks that are necessary to move out of their comfort zone because they’re afraid it won’t work out. Das war’s. IE that means that i will never be the person sitting in that chair until i learn to sit up in the baby chair that i am in right now.Everything Counts
But the fact is that until you move out of the comfort zone and get the experience from making the mistakes, it’s not possible for you to grow and become capable of earning the kind of money that you desire. Now here’s the key to the law of accumulation. It says that everything counts. Everything that you do counts. The biggest mistake that people make is they think that only what they want to count, counts. That when you read a book, when you listen to an audio program, when you go to a course, when you go to bed early and you get up early and you work, it all counts. And it’s all going on the plus side of your ledger.
Use Your Time Well
But when you watch television, waste time, hang out, fool around and so on, all of that counts, as well, and it’s going on the negative side.A person who has a great life, by the law of accumulation, is a person who’s accumulated far more credits on the credit side than debits on the debit side. And here’s an important point.
If what you are doing is not moving you towards your goals, then it’s moving you away from your goals.Nothing is neutral. Everything that you’re doing is either moving you toward the things that you want to accomplish in life, the person you want to be, the wealth you want to accumulate, or it’s moving you away. Everything counts. The law of accumulation says that everything counts.
Action Exercises
First, begin today to build your knowledge base in the subject that can be most helpful to you in achieving financial independence. Whether it takes a week, a month or a year to become thoroughly knowledgeable, it doesn’t matter. Just get started today.Second, get as much experience as you can in your chosen field.
1.Start a little earlier,
2.work a little harder and
3.stay a little later.
4.Take risks and try every different way you can think of to achieve your goal.
This experience is invaluable and it accumulates over time.
My mother is the wisest person. After the sages that are present leave and their words have been erased from my mind, i remember her words too.
Being Kenyan
Being Kenyan, I can say is being a hustler.
Yaani, a Kenyan can live anywhere. There are many setbacks everywhere and bad things can happen, but they end up helping us instead of stopping us.
So you can survive anywhere, you see? So a Kenyan according to me is a SURVIVOR, someone aggressive.
MITI (Kalamashaka)
There are fewer words that so aptly describe the heart of being a Kenyan.
About Dust
About Dust
After the range of temperatures, I think that getting a head cold is appropriate. After all, there is no other way to describe this tropical girl’s reaction to the cold, the heat and then the snow, the wind and the icy whispering breeze filtering through the window I sit near as I type.
I doubt it was always like this. I remember the weather in East Africa. More specifically, I think about the sweltering heat of January and the dust that swirls through the streets and roads from January until the rains come in March.
And what else came with the heat and the dust? Wiping down every single surface in your home knowing full well that at the same time tomorrow, you will be doing the same thing. There was nothing wrong with doing what you were doing. Rather, it was the fact that you would ultimately repeat that cleaning before the cows came home. Not forgetting the skirting board and the grilles and the wall unit.
Heavens forbid that Mama So-and-So from the neighborhood fello should pop in calling for your mother and find the house looking less than spotless. The house had to be spick and span, that odd phrase from English in Class Four. Memories…
Matters are different in East America, however. No dust here, air-conditioned, vacuum cleaner aided technology ensures that you never see the dust. It is too fine to tell with the naked eye, so that rack of allergy meds is the only indicator that something is irritating you, and no, it isn’t those ads on TV. I guess it is easier to stay with the dust here. There are no rags made from your old PE t-shirt, nor is there a waiting neighbor standing and asking for you in your home. Nay, there is only the dust that you start by ignoring and then start to see as the weeks turn into months.
Dust, sunshine, shiny foreheads and the threat of the weekend and the imminent visitors this Saturday or next pass through my mind often. I wouldn’t mind having the dust gone every day, if only to be the talk of the estate again and the envy of other mothers. Sure, I heard them say, “That one, she’ll make a fine wife one day.” It is otherwise here, on this below freezing day. I wipe of the dust on the keyboard as I write, but who will miss it except maybe, the dust mites.
why resume wrting is essential
What is blue, green, black and white all over?
My worst application ever…and the reason why i would
always get cuffed for sloppy presentation.
A resume is everything and more. I am swimming around
in the world of possible internshios and opportunities
and there is a call for the best of the credentials.
Here there is no do-you-know someone or the people who
you can tell hook-me-up-with-a-gee. No. We are very
serious and …we are worried about our presentation.
And at the end of the time we are here, we will go
down in history and the annals will record of every
she-hero in this corporate jungle. NAJAHAT- She
succeeded.

why the green attraction prevails
After a last time very emotional posting, prompted by the love lives of others, i narrate this reply to the posted comment.
Why the grass looks greener.
i was in love with a lush green valley, a tea filled meadow that flavoured the air with a heady scent that carried me away.
How on earth did i find myself here. I wanted to paint the colours i saw on a flag, but alas, they already belong to one country’s flag. a land of a thousand shades of skin and a thousand hearty delicious soups. Wondering whether i was in the right place i walked on and rejected the call of this river-god. Even mortals have resistance.
So what if there was no comparison to the loaded gifts and furtive glances in my direction. So what if the other person i could “see” called me a ’smore’, black as black can be but desirable. So what if i did not recognise the racial slur. So what if the call of the lone river-god saw me walk away from the green valley to the dusty brown plains beyond. and waited and waited and waited.
but the palate cries out for water and the return to the original attractive sweet water is more than just a beckon rather a shout, a declaration of its fitness and rightful place. Water water everywhere, but none to drink - none that i could see anyway…not yet, not for months after i first sipped of the strong tea and fell for the awakening that first cup brought. Spice island, they called it. I called it, i spoke it. i feel the same way, i feel the love.
